Scholarships

The Valley Orchestra Guild is very pleased to provide three scholarship opportunities to our high school students. Each scholarship has its own application that must be filled out and turned in by its deadline.

  • Fall $250 General Scholarship   UPDATED!

    Scholarship Information: Applicant must be a current 9-12 grade student in the West Des Moines Community School orchestra program. General Scholarship applications may be submitted twice during a school year; once in the fall and once in the spring. Scholarship proceeds may be used for private lessons, instrument purchase rental, orchestra trips, or other relevant musical activities. 

  • Spring $250 General Scholarship
         Applications must be received by TBA

    This scholarship is available to all Valley High School and Valley Southwoods orchestra students. Please be sure to follow all scholarship directions. Late or incomplete applications will be disqualified. Scholarship money may be used for instrument lessons, music camps, instrument upgrade/repair and more.     This application is for Valley High School Seniors only. Please be sure to follow all scholarship directions. Late or incomplete applications will be disqualified.

  • General Rules and Guidelines

    Applicants  for the Fall and Spring Scholarships must be a current 9-12 grade student in the West Des Moines Community School orchestra program.. Scholarship proceeds may be used for private lessons, instrument purchase/rental, music purchase, orchestra trips, or other relevant musical activities. Applicants must follow all the instructions in order for their application to be considered.

    We encourage all interested students to apply!
